Davide BRAMBILLA - Faculté de pharmacie - Université de Montréal
Davide Brambilla is Professor of Drug Delivery at the University of Geneva, Switzerland and Faculty of Pharmacy at the Unviersity of Montreal, Canada. He completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technologies and Biopharmacy at the School of Pharmacy, University of Paris-Sud, focusing on the design of nanoparticles for drug delivery applications. In 2012, he joined ETH Zurich, where, after three years as a postdoctoral researcher, was promoted to Group Leader. In 2017, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal, promoted to Associate Professor in 2022, and in 2026, became Professor at the University of Geneva. His laboratory focuses on the design of nanoparticles for drug delivery applications and microneedles for diagnostic purposes. In 2023, he received the New Investigator Research Award from the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada. He has co-authored over 100 publications in leading peer-reviewed journals (Science Advances, Nature Sensors, Advanced Materials, Small, Biomaterials, Journal of Controlled Release), filed two patents, and co-founded a start-up company. He is a past president of the Canadian Chapter of the Controlled Release Society and serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Controlled Release.
